ICT tools for Effective Teaching and Learning
This is to inform all the students and faculty members that the University of Technology is organizing two days live Online FDP (Faculty Development Programme) where experts will discuss and share their views regarding the various ICT tools and initiatives that assist in effective learning and teaching. Those who will join this live session will get an opportunity to interact with the experts and understand how Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can make digital learning and teaching all the more effective. Moreover, all the participants will be provided with E-Certificates.

In the current condition of lockdown due to Coronavirus, having knowledge about ICT tools can definitely impact students learning. This is because faculty members who are digitally literate can easily communicate, create, disseminate, store and manage information. The various tools of ICT such as interactive digital whiteboards or smartphones, laptops, tablets, webcams, internet connectivity etc. all contribute towards enhancing the motivation and engagement of students in the subject learning. Thus, attending the session will be highly benefitting for the participants as they can analyze and understand how the ICT tools in the present scenario are not less than a boon for education sector where physical presence is required to be avoided. In addition to this, when faculty members are digitally litereate and are aware how to use ICT tools, such approach leads to higher order thinking skills and at the same time, offers creative options to students to express their understanding for the topic. Thus, attendees can better prepare themselves for ongoing technological change in the society and the workplace particularly in situations like Corona crisis.
The 2 days live session will take place on 12th and 13th June 2020 and Prof. Vimal Jerald (M.C.A., (NET), M.B.A., M.Phil, PGDBI) will be the key speaker for the session. Prof. Vimal Gerald is currently working at Department of Computer Science; St. Joseph College, Tiruchirappali. The event will be hosted live on the Zoom app between 11 AM to 1 PM.
On Day 1, the discussion will be made regarding EDMODO LMS, Overview of GCR and Moodle, Google Forms (Quiz/ Survey Questionnaire generation), and Automatic Certificate Generation On Day 2, the discussion will be made regarding Personal Website Designing, PPT video making, Screen Capturing, and YouTube Live streaming.

For Certificate Application, You have to Register and Participate in FDP on ICT Tools .

On Each Day, You will be provided with Assignments which has be to be submitted everyday for Evaluation and Attendance Purpose.
For Certification, You have to be Registered for Event and Submit the Assignment Daily with same Email ID used at the time of Registration.
Certificate will be provided within a week after process of Evaluation on Email ID provided at the time of Registration.
