All students are required to generate their APAAR/ABC ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry/Academic Bank of Credit ID) as part of the “One Nation, One Student ID” initiative under the National Education Policy 2020.

Key Features of APAAR/ABC ID:

  • Unique Identification: Links to DigiLocker for secure storage of academic documents like exam results.
  • Academic Bank of Credit (ABC): Enables transfer and storage of academic credits through the National Academic Depository.

Steps to Generate APAAR/ABC ID:

  1. Visit the DigiLocker website or the Academic Bank of Credit website: https://www.abc.gov.in/
  2. Follow the video tutorial on the website for guidance.
  3. Link your APAAR ID with DigiLocker and upload your academic documents.

Important: It is mandatory to Update your ABC ID/ APAAR ID in student Record through https://bit.ly/uot-abc
